Hello everyone,
in response to many requests here is the mod for the PRO 2021 scanner:
NOTE: THIS PROCEEDURE REQUIRES RESETING THE UNIT THUS ERASING THE MEMORIES
1) turn the unit off and unplug
2) remove the mobile bracket (if so equipped) and the 5 top case screws (2 left
side,2 right,1 rear)
3) remove the cover and disconnect speaker
4) clip diodes 44 and 45 (this allows the unit to recieve 68-88 Mhz and 806-940
Mhz)
(I mean to allow programming of these frequencies)
5) reassemble the unit
6) while pressing the CLEAR button on the front press the reset on the back wit
h
a pen point (this is a reset of thew unit )
7) program the unit with known active 800 Mhz and 68-88 Mhz frequencies if the
reciever picks something up it worked if not then no harm done to the unit
(this is due to two types of main board in the unit it will work with some and
not with others)
NOTE: there is no guarentee that the unit will survive this and this may void
any remaining warrenty on this unit.
Good luck I hope this works it did'nt on mine but the scanner functions as
always
OH I ALMOST FORGOT WHEN DOING THE RESET THE SCANNER MUST BE PLUGGED IN AND ON
