PRO23 The following procedure will allow you to monitor the full range of 800 Mhz "services" present. This mod has not been tried here, and I, the sysop of this PBBS and the originator make no claims to it's validity. PROCEED AT Y O U R OWN RISK, technically AND operationally. 1 With the radio switched off, hold down the 2, 9 and LOCKOUT keys, turn the radio on, and release the keys. 2 Step to channel 23 on the PRO-51, or channel 15 on the PRO-23 to display 888.960 Mhz, a "factory test frequency". 3. Press either the UP or DOWN search ARROW to scan the cell band in 30Kc step. You may store up to 10 active cell fqs in memory. 4. 10 active cell freqs are temporally stored by pressing MONITOR. to permanantly store freqs scanning and to have a starting point for searching: 1. Step to the MONITOR channey you wish to permanently store, then press PROGRAM , Then the desired memory channel number. (Including those with factorey pre-programmed test freqs) 2. Press in sequence PROGRAM, MONITOR, ENTER. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each channel to be memorized. thanks to the Monitoring Times Newspaper and L. Wiland for this info.
