KAM_WIRE.TXT N8FC, Jan. 12, 1992 --- Help with wiring KAM To RS-232 and ICOM 8-Pin --- Apparently, who ever wrote the Installation and Operations Manuals for the KAM had no knowledge of flow charting or schematic diagrams. After spending all day reading the Install- ation Manual , I got out my volt-ohm meter and did some lead-pin checking with the DB-9 plugged into the KAM . Also, I took the DB-9 apart and took a look inside. I hope the following deciphered information and schematics are helpful. But, be very careful - the insulation on the wires have a tendency to melt when you solder them. Real quality stuff . . .
