Spice41.zip, Spice42.zip, & Spice43.zip contain Nutmeg32 & Spice32 for Windows NT and Windows 3.1, plus the Win32s subsystem. The Win32s subsystem allows 32 bit Windows NT programs to run on a Windows 3.1 system. If you run setup, this subsystem will be installed on your Windows 3.1 system, along with my Spice32 and Nutmeg32 programs. Spice41.zip contains: The Nutmeg32 & Spice32 executables, help files & example circuits. After a "pkunzip -d spice41.zip", these files will be in the disk1 directory. Spice42.zip contains the install files for Windows NT and Windows 3.1 . After a "pkunzip -d spice42.zip", these files will also be in the disk1 directory. Spice43.zip contains additional install files for Windows 3.1 After a "pkunzip -d spice43.zip", these files will be in the disk2 directory. If You're Installing to a Windows 3.1 system: Download all three zip files. Do a "pkunzip -d *.zip" to your hard disk Run setup from the disk1 directory If You're installing to an NT system (I highly recommend): Download Spice41.zip and Spice42.zip. (Spice43.zip contains the Win32s files, which aren't needed for Windows NT) Do a "pkunzip -d *.zip" to your hard disk Run setup from the disk1 directory If you're running Windows NT, but just want to expand the files without installing, Just download Spice41.zip, do a "pkunzip spice41.zip" & run exspice.bat to expand the files. If you're running nutmeg32 in Windows NT, you can generate a data base directly from Nutmeg32's file menu. NOTE!!! If you are using Windows 3.1, you'll have to generate the database by running spice32 seperately from nutmeg32. (For now, due to a bug in Win32s) Win32s is in Beta, so you'll want to get a fresh version of Win32s when it's released. To uninstall: 1. Remove the windows\system\win32s directory 2. Remove the win32app\nutmeg32 directory 3. Delete the windows\system\w32sys.dll, olecli.dll, & combo.dll files 4. Rename windows\system\olecli.w31 to olecli.dll 5. Remove the windows\system.ini line in [386Enh]: device=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WIN32S\W32S.386 You may copy the shareware version and post wherever you desire, but not for profit. If you don't know what Nutmeg32 / Spice32 is, read the Readme.txt file included. Use at your own risk. Robert Zeff CServe: 70323,1251 Phone 209-521-1448 Fax: 209-522-5866
